I like the concept of this site. I think it is a wonderful thing to do for others. My deepest desire is to be a philanthropist; however, at this point, since I am unable to help others financially, I try to do what I can to help in other ways such as spreading love, peace and positivity. Sometimes just a smile is all someone needs to brighten their day.

I hope to assist in any way I can. I have started uploading chapters to my autobiography on my website in addition to positive messages and videos in the hopes of uplifting others and sharing common experiences.

 Well, NYS says you CAN NOT exist on your own with no money.  I haven't worked in three years (Was taking care of my ailing father as well as how do you get a job when you use crazy glue to build half of your front tooth?)

  So they said I have to provide someone elses' income and call it my own.  My ex boyfriend is helping me...he makes all of 13 dollars an hour.  From that he has to pay 60 a week in child support, 1,000 a month rent, 300 monthly in electric, there are 4,000 dollar credit card bills...the list goes on and on.  Oh, and needless to say, we can't even afford to buy food.  But, NYS says that's 400 MORE a month than is necessary to qualify for medicaid.  (2 people must make LESS than 2,200 a month BEFORE taxes, regardless of expenses!)

  I live downstate, it's not even possible to live, as one person, on that salary.

  One of my teeth finally did it.  (I told you I feared the pain and no, no one stepped up to aid in the way necessary, providing actual MONEY to go to the doctor and get this stuff taken care of...)  One of my molars (one of two left to the top of my mouth) decided it didn't want to let me live anymore.  I spent three days screaming at the top of my lungs.  Finally, took the money for rent and wen to a dentist.  for 200 he root canalled said tooth.  He told me I had the most deplorable teeth he'd ever seen.  He said if I didn't get many root canals and special extractions, as well as a very good bridge piece, inside of a year I wouldn't have a tooth in my head.

  I'm not an old woman.  I just posted my picture because...well, I'm not ugly.  I'm actually beautiful. I should be able to get ahead, shoot, get ANYWHERE, in life...but my teeth...when I open my mouth, people cringe.  They think I'm a meth addict or crack-head or something.  It's worse when you're attractive, honestly.  People are so pleased at your face, your body, they seem to get angry at the juxtaposition of the rot in my mouth.   I have 6 more teeth, which any day, can start that screaming agony again.  That which feels as though someone's driving an awl into my head.  I have no money to even root canal these things, which would leave me with dead and broken stumps all over my face any way...I just cry.

  I don't understand, honestly, how there are people with money and yet...oh..they let someone, such as myself, suffer, every day.  I can have no life because of this.  Quite honestly?  My body was so traumatized by the pain of the last tooth that I trembled for three days...even a whole day AFTER the pain was gone.  It's INHUMANE.  I deserve so much better and I can't even find a job because of this!  Alas, at this point, should I get insurance, it wouldn't touch but one of my teeth.  I need special surgery to remove the many root canalled remnants, I need root canals and posts and crowns for 6 other teeth and I need a decent mouth bridge to fill all the rest of the holes.  (Implants are dreams at 5,000 a piece.)

  All told?  I think I need about 15,000 to get anywhere near okay.  I don't know why I bother posting this here, lol.  (not really laughing)  Just I always get emails saying I have some response or another to my posts.

  They've not one actually been helpful.  Doesn't any philanthropic person read these pages?  Does no one wanna keep me FROM WANTING TO DIE....SCREAMING TO DIE?!  Cus, truly, I'd give so much to be able to smile and know I wasn't horrifying the recipient.

Hiya my name is brittany and i need some doe flow going on...lol but seriously, I need a job and unfortuatly im not old enough for one, well not a real one. My mom is doing her best to keep us afloat and i really wish we had enough money for me to by some nice clothes, so all the people would stop looking at me crazy when i wear something twice in a row. i always wonder where the money that people give to charities go? it never comes to the people that need it. If i was a billionaire i would really help people or start a charity of my own to be able to give clothes to parents and kids that need need it. :) that would be cool.

You know, one thing that I' really enjoying about the resourses site I' building is that I'm doing it while I' kind of in the middle of needing a lot of those things. It'll take a long time before the site gets much notice, I'm sure-- but it makes e feel better on strange level, to know that one day someone else will find the information I'm gathering useful to their situation. It's also some bizarre little way to prove that even if I have nothing in my pocket I still have soething of value to give.

Being poor or stuck in a bad situation of any kind can be a very dehuanizing experience, and it can also be an enriching one. Occasionally, one random act of kindness or a pleasant word makes someone's day.

Has anyone ever actually gotten a personal individual grant from a philanthropist?  If so, how did you go about it, and from whom did you get it? 

I need funds to hone my skills sufficiently to be awarded voiceover work in an extremely competitive market. I am retired on fixed income with a wife with increasingly problematic health conditions and this is the best way I can get out of financial difficulties. Eventually, I hope to acquire enough funds to conduct my own philanthropy which will be devoted to preserving racial and ethnic diversity in the human sphere, and to promote the natural health philosophy known as Natural Hygiene which began around 1830 and still makes more sense than the other health approaches, and if applied on a large scale would solve every conceivable problem one could think of. I can be heard doing weather broadcasts for the Washington, area DC via telephone daily Monday through Friday at noon on 202-936-1212 if one cares to check out my voice qualities. Your consideration is earnestly solicited.

I am looking for assistance to help bring a product that will enhance wheelchair mobility and safety for the over 1.7 million citizens in them.  I have been working on this project for over a year. I have researched patents on the market for this and to date there are none.  I can not understand the patent laws and language to patent this myself, and the patent agents and attorneys know this and charge ridiculous fees for their service.

I am looking for compassionate people to donate a dollar or more to this cause. Every dollar will go to bring this product to market. I will keep the progress posted and larger donations will be recognized with product marketing. I will continue working as a nurse during product progress and will not use any monies to live off of.

I have a prototype being made by a good friend and have a two local tool and die shops interested in production. I am also working on my business plan and it is near completion.

Scammers need not reply with promises of loans. I will not send money for money, cash western union or cashier checks or launder money in any way. I am an honest legitimate person and savvy to the criminal minds.  Thank you in advance.

What is the best way to seek sponsors for NGO projects.  In my country I am trying to use the gov orgnaisation, but they all give the same response.  "No Money"  And the things Im trying to address fall under there national strategy.

I am happy to give sponsors publicity, write the proposals, meet there critera... but it seems to me that people are quicker to give sponsorship to things that result in high marketing other than community service.

Id like to know what im doing wrong or not doing at all.  How do I attract the assistance I need to get the Job done.

The film industry is developing rapidly but there are limited scripts.  This workshop is to teach people how to create a marketable product.  It is a means of  collaboration of people from different parts of society in a hope to start a dialogue that will be introspective and healing.

Revive theatre in Jamaica as a window to different social commentaries. This will diversify our cultural products and generate new capital generating ideas.  The music and theatre industry in Jamaica is a great source of information and helps to direct social norms but it is becoming a moral chop shop.   Introducing classical forms will help impact on how music and theatre is produced

This is a channel for persons to exhibit the products being generated in society.  To challenge stereotypes about the country and to redefine Jamaica to the Diaspora.  This is to encourage a wider dialogue and an understanding of how social responsibility affects the global community.

My challenge is as a single person that works in Jamaica.  I can’t generate the US currency to pay for resources.

I understand how my brother felt the night he died. Having nowhere to go and all your options exhausted. You feel the suffocation brought about by desperation. I will never condone what he had. He pulled the whole family into the mess that he created. If he only had the courage to admit to what he had done…there could have been a way out without his life being lost. If only.

I understand what he felt because I feel the pressure of facing the problems that he left. Sometimes my mind wanders into scenarios and options that normally I will never have considered. But then you realize, you are now worth more dead than alive. Who in their right mind will help you without getting something in return? I have offered our home as collateral so that we can survive as a family. Although it will take time, it is a secured loan.

However, until now no one has shown interest. What else do we have?

In working on enhancing my clients quality of life, I think it's appropriate to inquire about an accessible vehicle. More so, a donation of an accessible van.
 
Can anyone tell me which organizations/individual could possibly be willing to donate a wheelchair accessible van for my client.
 
I do not know how to write a grant nor am I a "501 c 3"and I don't have use of an umbrella. I'm a 24 hour a day live in caregiver.
 
My client is physically and mentally, permanently disabled. She rides a power chair and is in need of an accessible van to be transported to/from home and to/from appointments in record time.
 
She would also appreciate having the ability to go to zoos, gardens and possibly other such outings. She loves animals and flowers.
 
For the past three years she hasn't been able to go anywhere other than to her physicians and other specialists offices.
 
She doesn't care for television so keeping her amused can be quite the challenge.
 
Having personal transportation will enable me to carry her necessities to ensure un-compromised health while traveling. The vehicle will ensure her comfortable, safe and quick transport to and from each destination as it is critical that she be in early reach of her medical providers.

She deserves to experience life outside of home. It will be wonderful to hear the laughter in her voice and see radiant joy in her eyes as she visits her most favorite mammals. (Whales and Dolphins) She believes that she becomes the flowers that she observes. "full of life and beauty."

Privacy laws don't allow me to provide details of her disabilities to the public. If you are able to assist she is willing to sign a release form so you can confirm her disabilities.

It took me a minute to get the hang of this.

Hello and welcome to my aid pages.

I'm not seeking aid for myself.

I take care of a wonderful person who is in need of a better quality of life.

For three years she has been at home with no reliable way to get out and about like other people do.

She does have an older power wheelchair. However, she can't go very far in it.

We have a system here called Para Transit which is a great company and I commend their efforts to help differently abled people get to and from appointments.

The thing is it doesn't work for my client. It's the wait time between travels that gives chance to serious complications to her health.

Her medical insurance only covers doctor visits through them. If she wanted to stop to look at flowers or sit on a park bench for a moment she couldn't. As I have to travel with her, a cooler full of supplies and other necessities are out of the question.

What we need is a wheelchair accessible van.

If you have one that you are willing to donate or know of anyone else that can give her one it would be a ten fold blessing. If you have any idea of whom to write or know how to write a grant for one, your help will be greatly appreciated. If you can donate money for one or know of any philanthropist who can and is willing please contact me as soon as possible.

I don't have a 501 c 3 or an umbrella and the places that I have written (which has been several) have told me that they don't donate to individuals or they have recommended places that don't. I have called and written to foundations and others that have cause in her diagnosis' to no avail.

If you have it to give please give to a very deserving lady who's greatest desire is to enjoy each and every moment.
